Climate and Colorado’s Water Future Workshop March 11

INSTAARWhat is the impact of climate change on Colorado’s water future? Experts from CU Boulder, CSU, NCAR, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, and the Center for ReSource Conservation will prepare you to think critically about the intersection of climate science and water resource issues. The workshop, hosted by the Colorado Foundation for Water Education, will be hosted at the new CU Boulder Sustainability, Energy and Environment Complex. Workshop attendees will get to tour the INSTAAR Stable Isotope Lab, where you will learn how scientists extract data from ice core samples taken in polar regions.

These much-anticipated, informative workshops draw educators, citizens, lawmakers, water managers, and others from across the state. Learn More About Climate will sponsor two FREE registration scholarships for educators to attend the Colorado Foundation for Water Education annual Climate and Colorado’s Water Future Workshop. To apply for one of the Learn More About Climate scholarships, email Katya Hafich your name, school, grade level, and a 1-2 sentence statement about why you are interested by Friday, February 26. Awardees will be notified on or before March 2.

*0.5 credit hour is available through the Colorado School of Mines Office of Continuing Education to teachers requiring graduate-level relicensure hours. Teachers seeking credit must bring a $35 tuition check (in addition to paying the course registration fee) made payable to “CSM Continuing Education” the day of the workshop.
